Before you start, make sure you have properly paired your Apple Watch.


The most effective method to Pair Your Apple Watch to an iPhone

First, make sure both devices are charged. 

Bring both closers together. Wait for your iPhone to display the option "Set up this Apple Watch using your iPhone." 

Then press Next. 

Set the iPhone screen finder to the clock. You can also pair the watch manually. 

Once your Apple Watch is paired, continue the process and adjust your settings. 

Sign in with your Apple ID, create a passcode,  and select your app.

Basic Solutions if Your Apple Watch Won’t Pair

Before trying the solution, first, make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on both devices. 

  • To turn on Bluetooth, go to iPhone Settings> Bluetooth. Toggle the switch to turn on Bluetooth. If it's already on, try turning it off, then turning Bluetooth back on after 5 seconds and connecting your Apple Watch.  
  • The procedure is the same for WiFi. Go to Settings> WiFi and turn on WiFi. If it's already on, turn it off and turn WiFi back on after 5 seconds.

Also, make sure both devices are within range of each other. The range is typically within 30 feet. 

Then restart your iPhone and Apple Watch. With a simple restart, you can restart all services including Bluetooth and WiFi. This will solve the problem.

iPhone with Face ID:

  • Press and hold down the power button + volume up or down until a slider shows on the screen. Drag the slider as referenced on the screen. After some time, your device will be turned off.  
  • Once the screen turns black, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.  

For the iPhone 6 to 8 and SE: 

  •  Press and hold the side button until the slider shows up on the screen.  Drag the slider and wait for a while.
  •  After a while, the device will turn off.  Press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo on your screen.  
If you still have the same issue with your Apple Watch,  try these solutions.

Method 1: Make Sure Airplane Mode Is Off

Airplane mode turns off all iPhone connections, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The airplane mode is designed to travel by plane. You can't connect your Apple Watch to your iPhone if airplane mode is enabled on your iPhone.

  • To make sure the plane is active, go to the control center. On older iPhones, swipe the home button from the bottom to the top of the screen to open the Control Center.  If your iPhone has Face ID, swipe down from the upper right corner to access the Control Center.  
  • If the airplane icon is orange, it means it is active. You can disable it by simply tapping the airplane button in the control center. 

Next, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your iPhone.

Step 1: On the clock, swipe up from the bottom of the clock face to open the Control Center.

Method 2: Update Your iPhone And Apple Watch

If you still have the same pairing issues as your Apple Watch, try updating your device. 

Apple is constantly releasing new system updates to fix minor device issues. We recommend keeping your iPhone and Apple Watch up to date. 

If one of your Apple devices is running an older version of the operating system, you cannot pair both devices.

How to Update iPhone:

  • Connect your iPhone to the charger and connect your iPhone to WiFi. 
  •  Then open the Settings app and go to General> Software Updates. 
  •  Assuming an update is accessible, tap Download and install.

Method 3: Reset all settings

Resetting your iPhone's network settings will reset your Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and VPN settings. This will fix the connectivity issue.
